WomenSource was formed in response to a community needs assessment commissioned by the United Way of Hall County in 2007. While a number of effective women’s support programs existed in the community, results from the assessment revealed a need for a channel that could improve the current systems through the coordination and expansion of existing programs.
WomenSource serves women of ALL ages, backgrounds, races, and socioeconomic levels in the Gainesville-Hall County community.
All WomenSource programs and events are made possible by funding from memberships, sponsorships, and grants.

WomenSource was founded in 2008 in partnership with the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County, the North Georgia Community Foundation, and United Way of Hall County. Founding Members also came alongside of these partner agencies, in full support of our mission of “Encouraging personal and professional success for women of all ages and backgrounds in Northeast Georgia,” and donated $1,000 each to help make WomenSource a reality and to make a lasting impact on the lives of women in our community. Founding Members are considered lifetime members of WomenSource. Many of these members continue to support WomenSource on an annual basis as well.
